Melbourne Crusaders Scooter Club - Soul music and the scooter riding 'Mods' lifestyle were closely linked during the 60's and 70's, especially in the UK. The tradition continues here in Melbourne with the Melbourne Crusaders Scooter Club where vintage Lambretta and Vespa scooters along with Soul music and classic dress (Fishtail Parka, Ben Sherman, Harrington Jackets, Fred Perry, Doc Marten...) go hand in hand.

The 59 club of Australia - the opposite side of the coin to the Scooter Club is the 59 club. Originally formed at the 'Ace Cafe' in London it is now a worldwide organisation. Where the Crusaders is made up of 'Mods' the 59 club is for the 'Rockers'. While opposite in background to the Crusaders, the 59 club has similar retro lifestyle connections.

Radio station web site featuring several 'soul' related shows and DJ's. Listen live or 'on demand' via the web site. They often promotes upcoming Soul events in the local area. Worth a listen.
